Free Activity Tasters

Have you ever wanted to try out a sport or class but been too shy, or not sure if it would suit you? From Monday 2nd to Friday 6th August, you will be able to try a free “taster” for many of the activities available in Kyogle. You can have a go at Tai Chi or Yoga, see if you like Zumba dancing or whether Line Dancing is more your style. You can try gymnastics or croquet, or join in a walking group. The providers are expecting absolute novices to turn up and will make you feel welcome.

The National Physical Activity Guidelines recommend that, along with 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity on most, preferably all, days, you also try to include some regular, vigorous activity in your week. The Guidelines are based on all the best scientific evidence about how to stay fit, healthy and active and avoid the kind of metabolic diseases that ruin your quality of life, so they’re worth paying attention to.

Joining a class or club is also a way to have fun, meet new people, and stay motivated on your healthy lifestyle journey. Click here for the program. You can phone the provider for more information, or just turn up.
