In reply to Bette’s query about novice Tai Chi classes, yes I run 2 classes per week at Community Health. One class is on Wednesday 5.15pm and second is Friday at 8.30am. If there was enough interest (ie 8-10 persons) I could possibly start another class. I teach through CHEGS (Community Health Education Groups). Call me if you are still interested and I can give you more details.

Do we have a novice Tai Chi class in Town limits? We have several clubs around town e.g. Bingo Bowlo & Seniors Hall, Sunshine Club, perhaps these patrons could be approached to hear their views, about carrying on with other activities after their normal club activities. Yours Bette Rae.

    Hello Mary-Anne
Can’t help with the stretch and flex class but I do have a gentle line dancing class which I advertised for 45+ but happy for anyone to come along so long as they understand dances are choreographed to be suitable for those of us who are less flexible.
Full info under Active Classes/Dance or please contact me if you’d like further info.
    Cheers, Lynette

Why is the stretch and flex classes only for those over 50? What about us “oldies” in our 40s who haven’t exercised/stretched or flexed for years. It would be great if we could be put through our paces in this class too. Please, please, please consider us.
