Gardening

If you don’t like exercising just for the sake of it, gardening is a great way to combine activity with doing something useful besides getting fit! Landcare, garden clubs, and community gardens are a sociable way to get active, and a vegetable garden will help you with a healthy diet as well.

One Response to Gardening

I have had a vege garden and orchard for 20 years on my 2.4ha Ettrick. Also planted a forest with some help from Landcare. At present my garden has been scaled down a little due to work committments but still supplies me with basics. Also due to my role as a carer its not always that well maintained. However its a beautiful place to spend an afternoon so if any group would like to come out for a social get to gether and EXERCISE contact me on 0429339188 and arrange a time that suits. Maybe consider parking at the gate and walking the gentle slope up to the house to get warmed up! We could possibly arrange some pumpkin soup from my very productive patch !!! Carol
